Prometa
More than 450 patients have been treated with PROMETA™ by physicians in the U.S., with more patients being treated every week. Two physicians have performed retrospective reviews of their experience as reported by their patients in their own practices: A Florida licensee reported that 92% of his patients experienced remission when he combined the PROMETA treatment with 90 days of intensive psychosocial therapy. This doctor analyzed data from 36 patients, and reported that 33 of the patients who completed this treatment had immediate, dramatic gains in functional improvement, which in his opinion constituted remission of their disease.
A California licensee reported that of 63 patients, 73% were in remission 90 days after initiation of the PROMETA treatment. The data reported by these licensees represent the outcomes of their patients, and do not represent the result that any individual should expect, and have not been subjected to close scientific scrutiny and may not be indicative of the long-term future performance of our protocols.
Controlled clinical studies have not been completed, and are currently being conducted to evaluate PROMETA and confirm this reported outcomes data.
What is PROMETA?
PROMETA is an innovative treatment protocol for alcohol, cocaine, or methamphetamine dependence. The treatment protocol involves prescription medications and nutritional supplements that are administered in a proprietary manner. The treatment is followed by after care, such as individual and/or group therapy, which is considered a key part of recovery.
The treatment protocol begins with a 2–3 day course of prescription medications and nutritional supplements. This is followed by a brief course of at-home medications and nutritional supplements that are taken for approximately one month.
Additionally, the PROMETA treatment protocol for cocaine and methamphetamine dependence includes a second medially supervised treatment on 2 consecutive visits, about 3 weeks after the initial treatment. PROMETA is discreet, and does not require long periods away from home or work.
Treatment takes place at a hospital facility, a treatment center, or a physician practice that has licensed the rights to use PROMETA.
