According to national data supplied by MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, in 2002 17,200 people were killed in crashes involving alcohol, representing a staggering 41% of the almost 43,000 people killed in all traffic crashes. Did you know?

Binge drinkers accounted for 20% of the US population, but consumed 80% of the alcohol.

51% reported they did not drink for a month prior and 25% reported drinking once a week or less.

Intoxication rates for males over .08 BAC was 24% and for females 13%.
